How important is quality?

Some customers might be prioritising price and convenience when choosing a driving school. But here’s an industry secret: how far away and how expensive a driving school is may not be the best variables to base your decision on!

Proximity doesn’t matter much, because most driving schools will offer ‘pickups’ and ‘drop offs’ from your home. All that matters is coverage of your area, but not the exact number of miles the driving school is from your house!

As for price, I understand the temptation in prices so low they make you do a double-take. Unfortunately, that can mean sacrificing quality of your tuition, and you can end up spending just as much (if not more) by having to continue the lessons for longer.

Matt Shurmer Driving School offers reasonable prices with the added bonus of assured quality. I am fully-qualified and registered, so you know I am up to the task, and DBS (CRB) checked for your peace of mind.

If you are nervous about driving, you can find comfort in my client-directed syllabus. Some schools/ instructors may give you no choice but to attempt a particular subject topic. I will work at your pace, and if you aren’t ready to progress I am more than happy to revisit foundations or other exercises and work on your confidence.

For lots of new, young drivers, the prospect of driving lessons is enough to induce anxiety. Matt Shurmer Driving School are committed to setting students up for success, and that means making sure you are comfortable and confident.
